One by one we have built a team of passionate, talented, professional, quality people. It is by our company’s insistence of high standards that as a team, we are able to consistently provide a level of service to our clients that simply delights them.
When was the last time you wanted to hug your lawn maintenance person? It is not uncommon for one of our people to report back and let us know that a client was so excited about the work being done that the client gave them a hug! For our clients to reach that level of delight, you can sure bet that we have a team of reliable, courteous, capable, and experienced people—people you would want to hug!
At Beautiful Blooms, we understand that our employees may in fact be employed by our company—but they work for you. We hire conscientious people who care about the work they do, and they do fine work. We provide them with additional training and education so they can hone their skills. We background check and drug test every new hire; Beautiful Blooms is a drug and smoke free workplace.
Loriena Harrington established the company in 2001 to follow her dream of business ownership and fulfill her passion of anything green. It is true that green was and still is her favorite color! Prior to starting the company, Loriena had a long history of working for premier golf clubs and gardening for private estates. She completed her undergraduate studies in horticulture at the University of Minnesota in 1998 and is also accredited as an organic landcare professional and has completed a masters course in landscape business management. Loriena continues to learn about plants and business management by attending professional level seminars and classes.
When Loriena is not working, she enjoys many hobbies—sewing, crochet, baking, and photography. At home, Loriena will spend as much time as possible tending her gardens with her dog Quinn right beside her. She adores her nephew Riley and niece Maggie and likes to take day trips to visit family and friends. There is no a shortage of interests for Loriena–she will again ride in the MS150 in August and considers this as one more step in her quest to one day ride her bike across the United States!
Although strictly in the office, Michelle has been in the green industry for over 6 years. She joined BBLD last summer, and is eager to stretch her knowledge into the technical aspects of the company. Michelle feels right at home being with a small company, which allows her to appreciate the more personal connections she is hoping to build with each client. If there’s a problem, yo, she’ll solve it! She says to check out our website while our crew resolves it.
Away from work Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, playing softball, and bonfires. She and her husband love watching their son grow up alongside their puppy, Cooper. Michelle also grew up speaking Spanish as her second language. Si necesitas ayuda, ella te puede ayudar.
