Now HiringLandscape Maintenance Apprentice/Crew Leader
Maintenance Apprentice- Work with experienced maintenance professionals and a horticulturist to provide top level care to outdoor living spaces on residential properties. Learn how to properly maintain a high end landscape.
Ability to follow direction
High level of attention to detail, mindset of perfection, and desire to be the best.
Great attitude is a must.Main duties and areas of learning include:
Learn how to identify plants
Learn how to properly maintain a planting bed -- weeding and deadheading plants
The ideal candidate will have a category WI 3.0 pesticide applicator's license and have experience applying fertilizer and herbicide to lawns using both a push spreader and a ride-on fertilizer spreader.
Typical Day:
Meet at shop, 6:45am and depart for route at 7:00am
Receive your work orders electronically
Move from property to property
Main Tasks will include: Applying fertilizer and pesticides to home lawns, aeration, overseeding, and small scale lawn repairs/improvements.
Secondary Tasks will include: mulch installation, bed edging, seasonal planting bed care/property cleanups, annual planting, shrub trimming and pruning, lawn mowing.
Return to shop sometime between 3pm-5pm, clean and reset equipment for following day.
Work is highly physical, and you should expect to work in all weather conditions. Including some light rain, heat, cold, or snow.
Must have appropriate work attire-- rain gear, warm/layered clothing, work boots, gloves, etc.
