A Passionate Team, Driven to Delight
One by one we have built a team of passionate, talented, professional, quality people. It is by our company’s insistence of high standards that as a team, we are able to consistently provide a level of service to our customers that simply delights them.
When was the last time you wanted to hug your landscaper? It is not uncommon for one of our people to report back and let us know that a client was so excited about the work being done that the client gave them a hug! For our clients to reach that level of delight, you can sure bet that we have a team of reliable, courteous, capable, and experienced people—people you would want to hug!
At Beautiful Blooms, we understand that our employees may in fact be employed by our company—but they work for you. We hire conscientious people who care about the work they do, and they do fine work. We provide them with additional training and education so they can hone their skills. We background check and drug test every new hire; Beautiful Blooms is a drug and smoke free workplace.
Loriena Harrington established the company in 2001 to follow her dream of business ownership and fulfill her passion of anything green. It is true that green was and still is her favorite color! Prior to starting the company, Loriena had a long history of working for premier golf clubs and gardening for private estates. She completed her undergraduate studies in horticulture at the University of Minnesota in 1998 and is also accredited as an organic landcare professional and has completed a masters course in landscape business management. Loriena continues to learn about plants and business management by attending professional level seminars and classes.
When Loriena is not working, she enjoys many hobbies—sewing, crochet, baking, and photography. At home, Loriena will spend as much time as possible tending her gardens with her dog Quinn right beside her. She adores her nephew Riley and niece Maggie and likes to take day trips to visit family and friends. There is no a shortage of interests for Loriena–she will again ride in the MS150 in August and considers this as one more step in her quest to one day ride her bike across the United States!
Mike Harrington has been drawn outdoors his entire life. His family enjoyed long boating vacations in the summer and as a teenager Mike picked up the sport of golf. Later in high school, Mike’s first job was for a small Milwaukee area landscape company with 3 employees; Mike was the grunt laborer and recalls only making $5.00 per hour–it was a long summer but he really enjoyed the work. In fact, he liked it so much that he returned for a second summer and was given a 30% raise. Mike quickly learned the value of loyalty.
Mike worked directly in Beautiful Blooms from 2005-2012. He still offers advice behind the scenes, but now spends his time developing “The Disc Golf Experience”, a company he started in 2011 that caters to the needs of local disc golf community. He has designed and installed a number of local courses and he is working hard to take his talent nationwide, which is a perfect combination of his passion for the sport, work experiences and knowledge.
On the home front, he enjoys watching his dog Quinn eat tomatoes off the vine from the garden, backyard bonfires, horseshoes, barbecuing anything, and watching Loriena smile as she enjoys her strawberries.
Beginning his fifth year with Beautiful Blooms Landscape & Design, Justin is a man that is enthusiastic about what he does, and it shows! He comes with an impressive 19+ years of lawn care management experience. He has a deep interest in alternative methods for caring for lawns–an organic approach. With the NEW RELEASE of our “Sustainable Lawn Care”, he is excited to educate our clients on its benefits. Justin likes to work with his Beautiful Blooms team and learn from their individual strengths.
Away from work Justin loves to be outdoors being a avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoys “glamping” on the weekends with his family, growing his own garden and cooking. He lives with two beautiful daughters, his wife, dog, and a cat in Sussex.

From high quality construction projects, to spring and fall cleanups, Steve is well rounded to help in any project or landscape need you may have. Always willing to learn more, he is excited to be a part of the wonderful Beautiful Bloom’s team and grow with the company. Zach Elliot, LICT Foreman
Zach has worked 5 years as a member of the Beautiful Bloom’s Team! His experiences season after season, along with educational workshops through the University of Wisconsin Extension and other professional outlets sets him up for a stellar season. When asked what one of his goals was for this season–Zach enthusiastically said he really looks forward to building relationships with our clients and really getting into the more technical side of landscape management. Zach has been professionally certified through the National Association of Landscape Professionals–proper care techniques, plant names, best practices, it seems that everyday there is something new for Zach to learn. We look forward to seeing him continue to grow his knowledge and find what area of the green industry he is most attracted to.
When not working, Zach likes to hang out with his buddies, and works on his car. He is passionate about sports video games, and likes to spend time with his family.

She appreciates the natural approach to landcare management and is eager to learn more about sustainability and protecting the health of our clients and communities.
Katie lives near the Kettle Moraine State Forest and enjoys going camping, canoeing, and running! She also likes to travel and go to outdoor festivals, and participates in races! Her smile is contagious, and she’s always up for a challenge!
Jesse Hodel, Landscape Crew Leader
Jesse specializes in plant care and landscape management. He just graduated from the University of Stevens Point with a forest management major and conservation biology minor. He has a huge passion for horticulture and botany. Jesse has done extensive research on prairie ecosystems and wetland plants. With this knowledge he would like to apply his skills to an urban setting. He is excited to work with a company that is already making strides to promote sustainability.
Jesse spends a lot of his free time outside and if he’s not at a disc golf course you will catch him fishing, exercising, camping or anything else that is active. If you have any questions about invasive species, exotic plants, soil compatibility or how to be more eco-friendly with your landscape, Jesse would be the guy to talk too.
Kyle Schultz, Landscape Maintenance Technician
Michelle Lewinski, Director of First Impressions
Although strictly in the office, Michelle has been in the green industry for over 6 years. She joined BBLD last summer, and is eager to stretch her knowledge into the technical aspects of the company. Michelle feels right at home being with a small company, which allows her to appreciate the more personal connections she is hoping to build with each client. If there’s a problem, yo, she’ll solve it! She says to check out our website while our crew resolves it.
Away from work Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, playing softball, and bonfires. She and her husband love watching their son grow up alongside their puppy, Cooper. Michelle also grew up speaking Spanish as her second language. Si necesitas ayuda, ella te puede ayudar.
